Practice and architectural history
Henrique Mindlin was a Brazilian architect, urbanist, teacher and architectural historian. He trained in São Paulo and later established his practice in Rio de Janeiro. His career included participation in exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Projects and publication
With Giancarlo Palanti, Mindlin entered the competition for Brasília’s plan and designed projects including Brazil’s pavilion for the 1966 Venice Biennale. His book Modern Architecture in Brazil appeared in 1956, giving his career a publishing dimension alongside built work.
